Women's Retreat
October 15-17, 2010
Verdugo Pines Christian Camp
Cost: $160 for standard cabin, $190 for superior cabin.
Your fees include two nights and five meals.

Speaker: Janet Lynn Mitchell
Candid, dynamic, friendly, and memorable are some of the words used to describe Janet Mitchell. Her fun, engaging style keeps her audiences wanting more. As a master storyteller, she shares her heart, passions, and faith, relating incidents from her life that will touch you and make you laugh. Janet addressed relevant life issues and how it just takes one to make a difference in your world!
As a senior in high school, Janet lost the use of her legs following surgery. On the night of her tenth surgery, she me Marty, who became her cheerleader, and was alongside her as she learned to walk again. Eventually he became her husband. Janet and Marty have been married since 1981 and have three children.
Janet has held staff positions with Youth for Christ and Forest Home Christian Conference Center. In addition, she was the director of a Christian preschool. Janet is a popular speaker for womens events, MOPS, family camps, and single-parent groups. She can be heard on radio programs across the nation. And has appeared on television programs such as Aspiring Women and The Harvest Show.

Check-in will begin Friday, October 15, 5:00 p.m. Elective activities for Saturday include hikes, archery, canoeing, volleyball as well as a mini-workshop entitled “In a Room with Grace” led by Debra Muniz. Feel free to bring your own knitting, crocheting or other crafts to work on during elective time.
Check-out and dismissal is noon on Sunday, October 17.
