Agape

The Agape Ministry provides one-time financial assistance to people who find themselves in financial crisis as a result of job loss or catastrophic circumstance. It is used for housing, food, clothing or medical needs.

Money for the Agape Ministry comes from a special offering taken the first Sunday of each month during both worship services.

Agape is pronounced ä-gä'pa. It is one of the Greek words for 'love' used in Scripture to express the love of God or Christ or the love of Christians for one another and was translated in Latin to 'caritas' and to 'charity' in English.

All requests for Agape Ministry assistance are kept confidential.

The Apostles' example:

There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.

Acts 4:34–35
